For me, it was something small.

Started on our 4th game for our mobile gaming platform https://www.squidfacegames.com. The first 3 games are free and this 4th game will be our first paid game so we're getting set up on Stripe etc. Platform is getting good traction so now it's time to find out if people will pay for it!

Niceee -- it's a smart move to allow people to just play from the browser. Removes friction.

I like the Kraken game. It reminds me of the party game Mafia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game))

What's the new game going to be about?

Thanks! Yeah it's based on Mafia, Werewolf and other social deduction games. The next game is called Paparazzi. Players work together to create a tabloid newspaper using funny topic prompts and photos from their own camera roll.

Hey Jesse. we are also trying to build games on the platform (kids.callanyone.io) but its taking longer than we hoped. we are still in the design phase. Would you guys be interested in a collaboration? Where we could leverage squidfacegames API? especially for the kraken game :)

Hey Pras - I hear you. It took us over a year to build out the platform (much longer than we expected) but now we can build the games fairly quickly. Our long term plan is to open up the platform/api so that other indie game developers can add games to our marketplace. We're not there yet but there may be something we can do to collaborate in the mean time. Hit me up at jesse AT squidfacegames.com (change the AT to @ and remove the spaces) and let's stay in touch.

Sweet -- it's a cool idea as well

I imagine that partnerships are a big deal for you guys, since you'll want to make sure you're perceived well & associated with trust/safety/etc

How did the demo go?

Yup safety is paramount. The one and only concern for parents is making sure there isn’t a strange man on the other end of the camera.

Demo was smooth. Everything worked - thanks for recommending daily.co :)

Just need to work on polishing the UI for mobile. Especially iOS. It didn’t render the way we wanted it to.

hahah a reasonable concern

happy to hear that Daily is working well for you :)

In your experience, how are the regulations and certifications around iOS development? I hear they can be annoying

as of now this is going to be a webapp.. i did however launch the AO crypto iOS app back in Jan and it was alright. if you are not collecting sensitive user data and don't have ads running, it is pretty straight forward. the turn around time for approval was also quick as opposed to what is being said in public

Hello guys,

I shipped Product Tracker: https://producttracker.paraboly.com/

But can't find users

My advice:

- Who did you have in mind when you were building it? Go talk to those people and ask them how they're currently tracking their product releases. Don't mention your product. You'll indirectly learn about your market from their answers.

- If you price at $1 a month, there's no perceived value. If you don't see worth in your product to price it higher, then who else is going to see worth in it?

Thank you for advice, I'll try to apply it :-)
